Background info on your character (Include any changes to fit into the Avoria world~):
Peter was a shy little bastard when he was growing up – still is now, actually. When he started attending Hogwarts, he made friends with James Potter, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black. He looked up to the three of them, admired them and thought of them as idols.
In his second year, along with James and Sirius, he found out that Remus was a werewolf. In their fifth year, they succeeded in becoming Animagi. Peter’s form? A rat. Which, oh my God, so totally fits. His nickname? Wormtail. If I remember correctly, it’s because his tail looks like a worm. He’s also mentioned as helping make the Marauder’s Map, although it’s unlikely he actually contributed anything substantial to it.
After school, he joined Dumbledore’s Order of the Pheonix. However, as the Order of the Pheonix was diminishing, and the Wizarding World losing against Moldy, he eventually became one of Voldemort’s Death Eaters.
Within a year, Lily and James Potter, along with baby Harry, had to go into hiding. When they were going to cast the Fidelius Charm, they had originally going to make Sirius their Secret Keeper. However, Sirius suggested Peter instead, as he had thought that Voldemort wouldn’t suspect Peter, who was substantially weaker than the other Marauder’s.
However, this allowed Peter to tell anyone he wanted about the Potter’s whereabouts. He told Voldemort about this. On Halloween, a week later after Peter was appointed Secret Keeper, Voldemort killed Lily and James, however was unable to kill Harry, his curse rebounded and was severely weakened.
During the next twenty four hours, Peter was confronted by Sirius. Peter accused Sirius of allowing for Lily and James to be killed, sliced off his finger and used a concealed wand to blow up the street. He transformed into a rat, escaped into the sewers. Sirius was framed and imprisoned in Azkaban, without trial.
However, Peter was now dead to the world and he learned rather quickly he wasn’t wanted as a Death Eater. He was forced to stay as a rat. He became Charlie Weasley’s rat, named Scabbers.
He later was given to Ron Weasley as a pet when Charlie moved to Romania. This placed Peter close to Harry Potter, the son of the two people he had betrayed. He didn’t do much for their first two years.
However, in the summer before their third year, “Scabbers” started looking rather ill. Ron first pinned this on Scabber’s body disagreeing with the heat of Egypt (where the Weasley’s had gone on holiday) and then on Crookshank’s harassment. However, it was Peter’s anxiety on Sirius’ escape from Azkaban. He tired faking his death again, by leaving blood on Ron’s sheets and running away.
However, he was later found in Hagrid’s cabin and given back to Ron. However, he escaped from Ron’s hands, when Crookshanks appears. When Ron caught him, a large black dog – later revealed to be Sirius – appears. The dog dragged Ron – who was holding “Scabbers” – down the entrance to the Shrieking Shack.
Later, after a scuffle between Sirius and Harry, Remus appears. He reveals that he was reading the Marauder’s Map – and that his nickname at school was Moony – and that two people had been pulled down the Whomping Willow, not just Ron.
Remus and Sirius explain about how James, Sirius and Peter had became Animagi – with a minor interruption thanks to Snape.
Sirius then goes onto explain how he had found out which rat Peter was and what had really happened on the night Lily and James were murdered.
Remus and Sirius then ask for Scabbers. Ron only gives Scabbers to them when they say that if Scabbers is really just a rat the spell they’re going to perform won’t affect him.
Scabbers, however, transformed back into Peter Pettigrew. He tried playing his role before he disappeared, although he was visibly nervous. Hermione asked why Peter had never tried hurting Harry if he really was on Voldemort’s side. Remus simply explained that Peter was hiding and that it would blow his cover.
As Sirius finished explaining how he escaped Azkaban without using Dark Magic, he and Remus agreed to kill Peter together. Peter tried sucking up to Ron, Hermione and Harry and Sirius got rather pissed off at Peter for talking about James in front of Harry.
As Sirius and Remus are about to kill Peter, Harry tells them not to and to give Peter to the Dementors, which would clear Sirius’ name. The two tie up Peter. However, as it’s a full moon, Remus starts transforming into a werewolf. Peter uses the time given by distraction to transform back into a rat and escape.
However, he now has nowhere to go – except back to Voldemort, who was in Albania. He starts “caring” for Voldemort and actually made it possible for Voldemort to learn about the Triwizard Tournament, by turning over Bertha Jorkins for torturing.
He is later seen by Harry at the graveyard at the Riddle house. He murders Cedric Diggory and cuts off his left hand to help revive Voldemort – rewarded by getting a metal hand fashioned for him.
He then seems to disappear, not being seen as one of the Death Eaters at the Department of Mysteries. He later appears, appointed to be Snape’s servant by Voldemort.
He’s a right little bastard, shy and easily frightened.
He has a life debt to Harry, due to Harry stopping Sirius and Remus killing him in the Shrieking Shack. However, I’ll bet several million Australian dollars that he’ll live for five to fifteen minutes in Avoria, due to the fact James and Sirius will probably murder him. Possibly Remus too.
He’s most likely at least half-blood, as Voldemort let him become a Death Eater. I have no idea if he actually detests Muggles and Muggle-borns, but I’m guessing he does, even if it's forced.
He’ll suck up to anyone who has power and try to be their friend. Sadly, everyone has basically zilch powers, so suck for Peter, :D
